General information

Greater Cardamom is often used as a spice and a mouth freshners for its strong fragrance and sweet taste. This herb is also blessed with therapeutic properties and is used in Ayurvedic medicinal preparations. It acts as a stimulant and hence used as an appetizer and for stomach ailments by common folks. Oil extracted from the seed pods of this herb is often used for aromatherapy and skin ailments. It is also beneficial in balancing Kapha Dosha and is therefore helpful in treating respiratory tract infections.
