Indigo as we all know has been cultivated by the Humans for preparing natural dyes, but it has been mentioned in Ayurveda for its therapeutic benefits. The roots of this herb are used for medicinal preparation by Ayurveda practitioners. Indigo acts as a stimulant and purgative which helps in treating digestive system disorders. It helps in pacifying Vata Dosha. It also possesses antiseptic properties.
